FAA NextGen Seminar
September 20th, 2016
10AM — 4PM

Door prizes and lunch will be provided

The FAA NextGen is a National Airspace System that proposes to transform the air traffic control technology from a radar-based to a satellite-based system. The FAA has mandated that aircraft operating in airspace that now requires a Mode C transponder must be equipped with ADS-B Out by January 1, 2020. By implementing GPS technology, aircraft will be able to take more direct routes that will save time and fuel while giving ATC increased monitoring capability with greater safety margins.

Currently there are about 150,000 aircraft in need of upgrades to meet the 2020 mandate deadline. Industry capacity to complete the necessary upgrades is 700 aircraft per week. To be compliant, 768 aircraft per week is needed. Based on that number, the industry is already over capacity which means many aircraft will be grounded on January 1, 2020. Those waiting until the final hour will find that equipment will be limited and the costs to become compliant will be greater the closer we get to 2020.

You don’t want to miss this!

Banyan Air Service is hosting an FAA NextGen event that will prepare, educate and save you money on your ADS-B, FANS-1A, EFIS and/or IFE upgrades. The AEA will be here to speak and answer questions on the NextGen 2020 mandate as it relates to business and general aviation. Rockwell Collins, Garmin, Kobev, AEA and will be speaking on ADSB and FANS, ADS-B and how it relates to the owner/operators flying and operations. Speaking times are as follows:
