Banyan’s MRO Department Enters into Gulfstream Market
Fort Lauderdale, FL – October 12, 2021 — Banyan’s MRO department expands its capabilities into the Gulfstream market with one of the largest inspections that can be performed on a Gulfstream G550, a 192-month inspection. The 192-month is a heavy inspection that requires the majority of the aircraft’s internal structure to be thoroughly examined. Extensive inspections of all major aircraft systems and structures were performed during the inspection, including complete removal of the cabin interior; removal of both engines; the opening of the floor for flight control cables; fuselage skin and floor structure inspection; testing of the landing gear; and structural inspection of the internal wing area.
“Our reputation as an experienced MRO facility that provides the highest level of expertise and flexibility on large inspections allows our customers to take advantage of combining other service offerings,” said Charles Amento, Banyan’s VP/Director of MRO Services. “Combining scheduled inspections with other service offerings benefits our customers in both cost and downtime.”
In addition to the inspection, Banyan installed a Gogo AVANCE L5 WiFi system while their partners at DCDB Aircraft Solutions performed numerous interior upgrades. Banyan will also be installing the Bongiovi Aviation sound system into the aircraft, another inaugural achievement for the Banyan Avionics team.
