Banyan was recently contacted by the owners of a HondaJet and a King Air C90 who both needed cost-effective connectivity in their aircraft. It was important to give each passenger the ability to place calls clearly and send emails and SMS messages quickly.
Banyan’s avionics team recommended and installed the Airtext+ system – a small “paperback” sized FAA-approved Airtext box weighing about 1 pound that connects to the existing iridium phone antenna. This system allows up to 16 passengers the ability to send and receive basic emails, SMS messages, and place phone calls anywhere in the world.
The Airtext+ product solves the problem of staying connected electronically to business, friends, and family without the high cost of a traditional internet option. This product can be utilized by a variety of airframes. For more information on the Airtext+, click here.
